Becoming a Member














 

The La Joya Area Federal Credit Union is owned solely by its share-holders, the members. When you become a member, you become one of its owners, and you share in the credit union's success.

 

Who is eligible for membership?

Persons who live or work within the La Joya ISD boundaries, and relatives of persons who live or work within the La Joya ISD boundaries are eligible for membership.  (Inspiration Road to Starr County Line and North to 14 Mile Line).  Now with the addition of our Weslaco branch, membership is extended to those who worship in Catholic churches in Weslaco and surrounding cities and their immediate family members.

 

How can I become a member?

Simply fill out a membership application form, pay a $5.00 fee, and deposit at least $25.00 in a share (savings) account. Children under the age of 18,or who are in High School, and adults over the age of 55 can become members with a deposit of only $25.00.

Joining the credit union is like belonging to a family - you're a member for life. No matter where you live or work, you can always remain a member of your credit union provided you remain in good standing.
